SAMPLE WAIVER — replace with your organization's approved wording (Admin > Registration waiver).
In consideration of being allowed to test drive a vehicle at this event, I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Valid license. I hold a valid, non-expired driver's license appropriate for the vehicle, and I will present it to event staff upon request. I am not under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication that may impair my ability to drive.
- Following instructions. I will follow the designated route, speed limits, traffic rules and all instructions given by the accompanying staff or product specialist at all times.
- Assumption of risk. I understand that driving a motor vehicle involves inherent risks, including the risk of accident, injury or property damage, and I voluntarily assume these risks.
- Responsibility for damage. I accept responsibility for any damage to the vehicle, other property or third parties caused by my negligence, reckless driving or failure to follow instructions.
- Release. To the extent permitted by law, I release the organizer, the dealership, the vehicle brand and their staff from claims arising from my participation, except those caused by their gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- Right to refuse. The organizer may refuse, shorten or stop a test drive at any time for safety reasons.
- Personal data. I consent to the collection and use of my personal information for processing this test-drive registration, in accordance with applicable data privacy laws.
